Ingredients
  

For the Sweet Potatoes:

  • 1 large sweet potato diced
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp celery salt
  • 1 tbsp onion granules
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

For the Avocado Crema:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tub approx. 200g zero-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

  • In a large bowl, combine the diced sweet potatoes with thyme, smoked paprika, celery salt, onion granules, sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil. Toss everything together until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated.

Air Fry

  • Place the seasoned sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

Make the Avocado Crema

  • While the sweet potatoes are cooking, blend the avocado, cottage cheese, garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve

  • Serve the crispy sweet potatoes with a generous spoonful of avocado crema. For a more filling meal, add lentils, crumbled feta, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Notes

Dicing the sweet potatoes evenly helps them cook at the same rate.
For even crispier sweet potatoes, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry them before seasoning.
The avocado crema should be used fresh for best colour and taste, but it can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day.
